Left Turn Close Call

I was riding South on Main St in Venice, California. A black Honda sedan was stopped in left turn lane with emergency flashers on and loading a passenger as I approached. Just as I entered the intersection the car suddenly accelerated and turned left into me. Thankfully I always cover my brake levers and was able to avoid being hit. Then a few blocks later, the same impatient Honda passed me then used the left turn lane for over a block to overtake a bus.
