Barging past

I stopped on the left side of the lane and when the lights went green this large SUV was close enough that I could touch it to make the driver aware.
In a conversation later, the driver said I was in his way because I was in the middle of the lane and he was hard up against the white line. But he had to get past. Belligerence personified.
