Bus tries left hook/merge

This was reported to QPS and I had an excellent officer assigned. He contacted the owner of the minibus and the driver. The owner was very pleased to be informed and intends to use it for training and have a formal process for disciplining drivers. The driver had some history and was embarrassed to have a knock on the door and discussion about the incident. He was made aware of his obligations to drive safely around cyclists.

Hope has also had it recorded as a formal warning on his record so if he tries this again it will be known. Hopefully a good outcome from a dangerous situation.

BCC was warned that this infrastructure was dangerous before they built it by both TMR and NorthBUG but they built it anyway. It is not Austroads compliant and it was always going to produce this kind of danger.
