Chicago CTA Bus sideswhipe into Semi-Truck

Riding on a street, in Downtown Chicago. CTA Bus runs me into a semi-Truck. Due to years of riding and being aware, I was able to avoid dying. When contacting the CTA, they would not address me without a lawyer. Reaching out to mulptple lawyers, no a single one would take my case because I "did not need medical attention". How is this "OK"?.
