Close Call: SUV Pulls Out on Fast Group Ride

Close call during today’s group ride. While traveling in a fast paceline (30+ MPH), an SUV pulled out of a private driveway into our path. No injuries were sustained, but it was a near-miss: one cyclist made contact with the SUV's hood with his elbow, which caused the following rider (carrying a rear-facing camera) to lightly bump into him. A very unsettling reminder of how quickly things can happen.
