Harassment with firecracker

While I was waiting at the intersection with a no-turn on red sign and there's another car in front of me waiting, of course, the blue-purple-ish VW came joined the wait. At first the males in the car seems to obey the traffic. Yet out of no where they decided to pull up right to my left and harassed me with some firecracker. I did not at all respond and engage with them; I heard a pop and felt the sting at my lower left calf; I did not turn at all but rode away as the light turns green and also no intention to award them with any attention.

It's a shame that the camera could not capture their action. However by slowing down frame by frame at around 00:27 it's obvious that the male at the passenger seat had just thrown something out, let along the male kept looking at me even after the turn.
